For Torq firm members

Use Torq from your AI assistant

Ask your own assistant about your leads, cases and marketing numbers, or have it draft work for your review. It sees what you can see in Torq and nothing more, and it can't delete anything.

Which assistants work

Claude works today. Support for ChatGPT and Grok is planned, and their setup steps will go on this page when it's ready.

Torq connects through MCP, an open standard for linking assistants to outside tools. For Claude there is also a Torq plugin, a set of guides that help Claude use Torq's tools well. It's on its way to the Claude Directory, and you can connect without it.

Before you start

Two things need to be in place. Your firm has to have the connector turned on, and you need the "Connect a personal AI assistant to the Brain" permission in Torq. Admins and owners already have it, and an admin can give it to anyone else at the firm from that person's Access tab.

If your firm doesn't have it yet, email support@torqlegallabs.com.

Set up Claude

  1. 01

    Add Torq as a connector

In Claude's connector settings, add a custom connector with this address:

    https://mcp.tll.sh/mcp

If Claude asks how to register the connection, choose to register automatically.

  2. 02

Sign in with your work email

A Torq sign-in page opens. Enter the email you use for Torq and we'll send you a link.

If no email arrives, the connector probably isn't on for your firm yet, or you don't have the permission. For security, the page looks the same either way.

  3. 03

    Approve the connection

Open the email on the same device and click Approve connection within 10 minutes. You'll be back in Claude, connected.

The connection renews as you use it. After 90 days without use, you sign in again.

What it can do

Answer questions from your firm's data

Ask which leads came in this week and haven't moved, what you signed last month by case type, or what you're paying per retained case on Local Services Ads.

Only the tools your role allows are available, and a page your firm has turned off stays off. Reads of leads, clients and contacts are recorded in your firm's audit log.

Propose changes for approval

Have it draft a text to a client, a task for a paralegal or a stage change on a lead. Nothing happens until someone at your firm who can approve that kind of change accepts it in Torq.

The proposal carries your name, and you can ask later whether it went through. By default, only admins and owners can make proposals.

Work on a client's Gameplan

Find a client's Gameplan, build it, rework the wording together and get a preview link. Edits follow the same rules as the review page and show up there under your name. Sending still happens in Torq.

Available to attorneys, intake specialists, admins and owners when your firm has Gameplans turned on and Salesforce connected.

Take care of your own items

With your Google account connected in Torq, it can check your calendar, search your Gmail and leave drafts in your Drafts folder. It never sends email. It can also clear items from your Action Inbox and, if your firm uses training requests, file one for you. None of these wait for approval.

For now, only admins, owners and billing admins can connect a Google account in Torq.

Your data

When your assistant uses a Torq tool, the result becomes part of your conversation. With Claude, that means it goes to Anthropic under your own Claude account, and your account's settings decide how Anthropic handles it. Torq doesn't control those settings. ChatGPT and Grok will work the same way with OpenAI and xAI once they're supported.

On our side, we keep the email you sign in with, a record of your connection, those audit entries, and each proposal with your name on it.

The details are in the AI assistants section of our Privacy Policy, and our Terms of Use apply.

Turning it off

Remove the Torq connector in your assistant's settings and it stops working right away. An admin can also take away your permission in Torq, which blocks the very next request, and we can switch the connector off for your whole firm.
